It’s really easy for you to update content yourself

Our world famous ‘custom backend’ (yew!) means just about everything on our sites is customisable, all right from the WordPress dashboard. You don’t need to know how to develop, we take care of all of that for you, providing you with a sleek, intuitive admin experience.

It’s extendable

There are thousands of ways to extend the functionality of your WordPress website. Live chat? Google Maps? Social sharing? Image gallery? A coming soon page? An online store with digital downloads? All this and more is possible with a custom developed WordPress.

Integrations are easy

Being the most widely used website platform means that many third-party applications have out-of-the-box WordPress integrations ready to go. For example you can make your contact forms feed straight to your CRM, create a donation form that collects payment via Paypal and send sales straight to Xero from your eCommerce store. Amazing!

The large worldwide user base and active community around WordPress means there are many people who are super invested in making sure it remains secure. And our custom builds mean that we limit our use of plugins and use only the best and most secure on our sites.

But isn’t WordPress just a template like Squarespace or Wix?

Nope! Sure there are free and premium templates you can download and use with WordPress, but we prefer to develop our websites from scratch. WordPress is not a theme itself, it’s not even really a website builder. We use WordPress as the backbone, the base plate, the foundation for building our websites. Our custom code layers on top of the WordPress back-end, meaning we can use WordPress to do just about anything!

We’ve built directory websites, online stores, travel websites… all using WordPress.

One other thing to be aware of is site ownership. Platforms such as Squarespace, Wix and Shopify are SAAS (software as a service) platforms so you can never move the site off their service. This means you never really “own” your site. With a custom WordPress site you are free to move the site to any hosting provider to like. So you have total ownership of your asset.
