About the project

Great work for a great cause

We were super happy to be asked to work on our third project with RSPCA – a revamp and rebrand of their Shop Humane website. The new RSPCA Approved website is a geolocation-based product directory to help consumers find information and retailers of RSPCA Approved products. The site also works as a marketing tool to encourage participation in the campaign by retailers and farmers.

Functionality

Geolocation Directory

The site allows users to search for retailers of RSPCA Approved products according to certain filters including Geolocation. The site search feature allows users to specify their current location as a search term and matches results to retailers in close proximity to the user.

Custom-animated elements

We used custom-animated illustrations on the campaign page of the “RSPCA Approved” site to enhance the user experience with “surprise and delight” while also reinforcing the message.

We had a truly great experience working with Pixel Palace. They delivered on time, the process was smooth and we’re thrilled with the end result. They not only met the brief but delivered extra design and technical elements that have made the end result better than we could have ever imagined.

Choose Wisely

We’re proud to have worked with RSPCA a few times now. Our first project with them was a directory for their “Choose Wisely” initiative. The campaign aims to raise awareness around humane food and the website helps consumers find humane food options when dining out. We built this custom WordPress geolocation-based directory and the ability for users to submit a restaurant, creating a draft listing ready for approval by RSPCA.

Love is Blind

Our second project with the RSPCA covered a tough and serious subject. Everyone loves pugs, how could you not? However, not many people know about the various health issues that come with owning a pug and other dog breeds.

RSPCA’s goal was to make current and potential owners aware of these issues to help give these beautiful creatures a better quality of life. Our challenge was to deliver confronting information while keeping an upbeat, and positive feel for the website.
